Girls basketball sessions launch this Saturday 9th October
Our new session is here! ENgage is a new programme specifically for secondary-age girls launching this coming weekend.
Delivered in collaboration with Norfolk Iceni Basketball Club - the no. 1 club in Norfolk for women and girls’ basketball - ENgage aims to provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for girls in school years 7-11 to learn and play the sport.
With the success of the GB women’s basketball team and Basketball England’s All Girls campaign inspiring greater opportunities for young women across the region, there’s never been a better time for girls in the Great Yarmouth area to start playing basketball.
ENgage sessions will run at East Norfolk Sixth Form College every Saturday from 10:30 am - 12 noon and provide the first step in a dedicated girls’ pathway within the club. The new sessions will be led by an experienced female coaching team from Norfolk Iceni Basketball Club, supported by coaches from Great Yarmouth.
COST Individual sessions cost just £4.

Norfolk Iceni Basketball Club
Norfolk Iceni has been putting ladies and girls’ basketball on the map in Norfolk for over 30 years by providing opportunities for their 70+ members to play in both National League and Local League competitions from their home venue of Open Academy in Norwich. The club has been extremely successful in both competitions, most recently with the U16 Girls team being crowned National League Conference South winners in 2019-20.
