WELCOME TO GREAT YARMOUTH BASKETBALL CLUB

Great Yarmouth Basketball Club is a volunteer-led community basketball club based at East Norfolk Sixth Form College in Gorleston.

We provide Development and Performance basketball for players from School Year 4 upwards, alongside open development opportunities, U18 basketball, Men’s basketball and school holiday camps.

The club works closely with Coastal Ballers and East Norfolk Sixth Form College to provide a joined-up local basketball journey. Younger children can begin through Coastal Ballers hub sessions in School Years 2–6, before moving into club basketball when the time is right for them.

As players grow, they can continue through the club’s Development and Performance teams, access older secondary-age opportunities and, from age 16, combine their education with basketball through the East Norfolk Basketball Academy. The Academy is run by the college and delivered in partnership with Great Yarmouth Basketball Club.

Players can also continue into GYBC U18 and Men’s basketball, allowing them to remain involved in the game beyond junior basketball.

These programmes are run separately but work closely together, with shared coaches helping players move between environments smoothly. There is no single route that every player must follow — the aim is to help each person enjoy basketball at the level that is right for them.

New players are welcome throughout the season. Your first session with the club is free.
